Vruchtbaar 2026

‘Vruchtbaar’ is a performance ‘De Vrij Partij’ did during the Burning Man Convention 2026. We were the performers of a dinner show. 

First, wearing orange suits and white masks, we would crawl under the table, giving notes to people with questions or quests that would let them eat slower or sensual.

“Can you eat the food out of my mouth?”

Later, we would appear again in neat clothing, wearing the mask on the back of our heads. We would all hold a third of a pome grenade and feet people little seeds. 

In the next step, we were wearing sexy clothing and we all had a plate and cutlery and one beetroot on the plate. We would go by the tables, joining the people that were eating, and interact with our beetroot. Looking at it, smelling it, touching it, maybe even cutting it. But waiting for a very long time before to bite it. 

Our last performance was with a watermelon. We were half naked, wearing only a long skirt. One of us was sitting on the shoulders of the other two, holding a watermelon above her head. The music stopped as we walked along the long tables. Then suspended music went on and I threw the watermelon with all my force on the floor. We attacked and devoured the watermelon. To show female power.
